HOW LONG SHOULD DELIVERANCE TAKE?
Some people can be very impatient with God, saying that they
want their cases to be settled in one day, if not, they will seek alternatives
elsewhere, sometimes outside the Church. From firsthand experiences of people I
have ministered to successfully, I can assure you that there are cases that can
be solved in one day, instantly! But there are cases also that will take
between 2 or more days of watching
and praying, as the individual
recovers in health, business, marriage etc, and as the SPIRIT leads.
I also want you to
know that people don’t get delivered because they just fell to the ground.
Falling to the ground is usually a trick that demons employ so that the
minister can stop tormenting them. It is very important for the Minister to
torment demons with fire, because that is what gets them to leave.
FIRE OF THE HOLYGHOST!!! Many times, as I minister deliverance to
possessed persons, the demons will be begging for me to stop tormenting them,
and if I keep commanding FIRE to be fall upon them, they surrender and leave.
Remember;
“…. He shall baptize
you with the Holy Ghost and with FIRE” Luke 3:16 (KJV)
I also noticed that the reason for more days could be issues
ranging from;
1. Sanctification and holiness - The lack of these
attributes by the person been delivered, and refusal to separate from the world
e.g. hidden sins, or a mind not made up to follow Jesus Christ. So it will take
extra work, instructions and revelations from the minister to break what the
devil has built in their lives.
2. The lack of
necessary faith in God by the individual, that God is stronger than the devil
and that God can deliver him/her totally.
WHAT BRINGS ABOUT DELIVERANCE
Explaining Authority and Power
It takes power to deliver! There are different kinds
of power, but our focus is on spiritual power, talking about the Power of the
Lord Jesus Christ.
Every bondage to sickness, disease, poverty, pain, etc is
caused by satan and his demons (his taskmasters), and except they are driven
out of your life, nothing works well.
In the book of LUKE 4:36, the Bible uses two important
words- AUTHORITY and POWER, they are not the same! And they have different
functions as well, it reads;
“.... For with
AUTHORITY and POWER he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out” Luke
4:36 (KJV)
A brief explanation on how both works can be likened to a
Government or King of a country that issues a command or law, like a ban on
certain food items or products. That is AUTHORITY, and the people may choose to
obey, break it, beat it, water it down, etc. But for authority to be followed
and obeyed, POWER must be exercised, and that's where the Army, Immigration
Officers, Navy or Police force of the country comes in, to enforce that law or
else, it will not be followed.
Demons do not obey court orders; the only language that the
devil understands is POWER! The Angels of God are the armed forces of Heaven
that are ever present to do battle, and kick the devil out thereby delivering
God's people!
The mistake that most people make is they just confess their
freedom, walking about saying “I am born again, I am born again" without
applying the necessary POWER; or the fiery
anointing (which comes by fasting
and stirring up ourselves in constant prayers- see Mark 9:29) that must be
present to match that contest at that time to deliver and set people free, hence
their commands are less effective. Let me tell you friends, the devil is not
afraid of grammar, matter of fact is, he understands it better than you!
