Joseph Ayo Babalola lived from 1904 to1959. He was the first prophet God used to lead a great revival in Nigeria after the raising of a 10 years old boy in 1930. He was the first General Evangelist of the Christ Apostolic Church, a church that metamorphosed from a prayer group popularly called Egbe Aladura in Nigeria. The Aladura Movement nucleated at Ijebu-Ode in 1918. Babalola was endowed with healing powers.

HOW JESUS CHRIST HEALED MY SON OF EPILEPSY!

 

 

During the birth of my son, Benjamin, there were complications and his brain didn't receive enough oxygen. When I first saw him his skin was blue. He was admitted to a special hospital where he stayed for the first few weeks. When he was four, a nursery teacher told me that something was wrong with him, as he didn’t react when they spoke to him. They advised me to take him to the doctor, which I did.

In hospital they examined him and found that he had epilepsy. As a result he was prescribed a lot of medication. As he got older and went to school it got worse, and when he had a fit his temperature would drop below 36°C and he would feel sick. When I became a Christian I heard that God healed people through Jesus, and that He is able to heal people today as well. I prayed that if this God really existed he would completely heal my son. At that point I knew in my heart that Benjamin would be healed.

When Will The Rapture of The Church Take Place?
The word RAPIO is a Latin word meaning "seized." As far as I can tell, the word RAPTURE does not appear in the Bible. It is a term people us to describe the catching up of Christians when Jesus comes back. Paul said that we will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air (see I Thessalonians 4:17). That is what we call the Rapture of the church. It will happen at the end of this age when Jesus Christ comes back to earth again. As He comes from heaven, we will be caught up to meet Him in the air, and then we will be forever with the Lord.

TESTIMONY TIME! HEALED OF CANCER....JESUS IS ALIVE!

 Healed from Cancer Through Faith and Nutrition
 Hi, my name is Gill, in February 2013 I went to my doctor for a check-up as I had suffered from light bleeding and pains in my womb for the last couple of months, listening to my symptoms my doctor quickly realised that something was seriously wrong and referred me to our local hospital for a colposcopy. During this examination the specialist realised that I had a tumour growing on my cervix and told me straightaway that it looks very much like cancer.  As you might imagine I was really shocked and scared and lots of thoughts went through my mind. On the way home from hospital I prayed and asked the Lord for strength, guidance and healing and could feel myself become calmer and felt God’s peace within me. This very much became my way of life over the next couple of weeks; praying and reading the Bible for guidance. At the same time I knew that many people in our church kept me in daily prayer and showed a lot of love and support in both spiritual and practical ways. One scripture which guided me through my low moments and really helped me was:
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love and of a sound mind.” (2 TIMOTHY 1:7)
When I went to the hospital to get the results of the colposcopy I felt at peace and could feel the presence of the Lord, knowing that the Lord was with me meant that the actual diagnosis of cervical cancer did not shock me, I surprised the doctor and nurses who were with me by how calmly I took the news.  As I was a mother of four young boys I was very quickly referred to see a specialist consultant. Whenever I went to the hospital a very good friend of mine came with me, so that I did not have to face the doctors, examinations and scans alone. One of my prayers was that the Lord would provide a cancer consultant who would not pressurise me into any treatment, but rather would work with me and listen to my wishes.
During this time especially I looked up many scriptures that gave me comfort and encouragement:
“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (PSALM 1:27)
“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” (1 PETER 5:7)
“… let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (JOHN 14:27)
“Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.” (JEREMIAH 17:14)
“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” (ISAIAH 53:5)
As soon as the suspicion arose that I might have cancer I started to look into natural remedies and changed my whole diet accordingly. I believe that this change in diet, fresh vegetable juicing and taking nutritional supplements which are known to fight cancer really strengthen my immune system and helped me cope with all the stress of being in and out of hospital for examinations and scans. 
It took only days from diagnosis to referral and meeting my consultant who looked after me and drew-up my treatment plan. Praise the Lord, God answered my prayer and my consultant was a ‘God send’. He confirmed again that I had cancer of the cervix and that the normal treatment plan would be surgery followed by chemotherapy and radiotherapy. I told him that I am a spirit-filled Christian and that I believe that God will heal me completely and that I do not want to have chemotherapy or radiotherapy.  At the same time I told him about all the natural remedies I was taking and that I wanted to continue with this approach. At no point did he go against my wishes and was very supportive even stating “I want you to be happy and comfortable with the treatment you receive...”. This really gave me peace of mind and confirmed to me that God was with me all the way. 
After a great deal of prayer I decided to have surgery (a hysterectomy), but no other medical treatment whatsoever. My consultant referred me to different specialists for scans and MRI. I was scheduled for surgery in mid April and he wanted to make sure that the cancer had not spread. When I went in for surgery the Lord provided me with nurses and other medical staff who looked after me and comforted and encouraged me to keep my eyes on God, particularly when none of my family or friends could be with me. The surgery went very well and the following day my consultant remarked on how well I looked and asked if I had a blood transfusion as I did not look pale. Later my consultant, who had been my surgeon, stated that he was very surprised that the tumour had not spread and was in fact smaller than what was shown in the scan. As I opted against any further treatment he removed the surrounding glands to be sure that the cancer was complete removed. To the surprise of the nurses and doctors I recovered very quickly and without any complications. 
A couple of weeks after surgery we were called in to see the consultant to receive the results of the biopsy of the removed glands. Only then did I find out that one of the scans showed a shadow in my lung and as well a shadow in my pelvis. The consultant was astonished to discover that all the glands were completely free of cancer, and he believed then that the shadow in the lung had nothing whatsoever to do with cancer. He stated again how surprised he was when during surgery he saw how 'small' the tumour was, as he expected to see a much larger one. I believe that the Lord worked this miracle and shrank the tumour to a much smaller size and destroyed the cancer lurking in my pelvis. At the moment I have to go in every six month for a check-up, but I have received a letter from the hospital stating that there is no concern that the cancer will return!  I can only praise the Lord and thank Him for how He drew me closer in this difficult time, partly carrying me through and giving me indescribable reassurance that I will be absolutely fine!

THE IMPORTANCE OF BABY DEDICATION...

Many churches do not practice infant baptisms, because they believe that in the Bible baptism is taught to be something done after a person chooses to follow Christ. As an alternative, many of those churches practice "baby dedications". A baby dedication is not a baptism (there is no water involved). It's more like a public pledge by the parents to raise their babies in the Lord. 'Christening' is used (in the churches I'm familiar with) as a synonym for baptism, especially when it's done to an infant.   The most usual passage cited is: 1 Samuel 1:11 (HCSB) 11 Making a vow, she pleaded, “LORD of Hosts, if You will take notice of Your servant’s affliction, remember and not forget me, and give Your servant a son, I will give him to the LORD all the days of his life, and his hair will never be cut.” 1 Samuel 1:23-28 (HCSB) 23 Her husband Elkanah replied, “Do what you think is best, and stay here until you’ve weaned him. May the LORD confirm your word.” So Hannah stayed there and nursed her son until she weaned him. 24 When she had weaned him, she took him with her to Shiloh, as well as a three-year-old bull, half a bushel of flour, and a jar of wine. Though the boy was still young, she took him to the LORD’s house at Shiloh. 25 Then they slaughtered the bull and brought the boy to Eli. 26 “Please, my lord,” she said, “as sure as you live, my lord, I am the woman who stood here beside you praying to the LORD. 27 I prayed for this boy, and since the LORD gave me what I asked Him for, 28 I now give the boy to the LORD. For as long as he lives, he is given to the LORD.” Then he bowed in worship to the LORD there. Personally, I don't know of anyone who dedicates their child to the LORD as completely as Hannah did. Another commonly referenced passage is Luke 2 when Jesus is brought to the temple. Again, the form of the dedication is not followed since it was following the Jewish circumcision ritual and the command about the firstborn: Exodus 13:2 (HCSB) 2 “Consecrate every firstborn male to Me, the firstborn from every womb among the Israelites, both man and domestic animal; it is Mine.” Another example that seems more applicable is: Mark 10:13-16 (HCSB) 13 Some people were bringing little children to Him so He might touch them, but His disciples rebuked them. 14 When Jesus saw it, He was indignant and said to them, “Let the little children come to Me. Don’t stop them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15 I assure you: Whoever does not welcome the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” 16 After taking them in His arms, He laid His hands on them and blessed them. By implication, even infants are part of the kingdom of God if their parents bring them before Jesus. Historically, the purpose of the dedication is to replace some of the rituals and ceremonies of baptism when Protestants began to reject the notion of baptizing infants. In the Evangelical Covenant Church, newborns are either baptized or dedicated depending on the preference and conviction of the parents.  The only substantive difference is that water and the names of the Trinity are required for baptism. Everything else proceeds on the same lines either way. (I remember one pastor getting to the bit in the liturgy when the baptism might occur and asking the parent, "So we aren't baptizing [name of child here] today, are we? Just making sure. I think we can find some water.") Dedication turns out to be more about the relationship between the child, the parents, and the church than between the child and God. The parents dedicate themselves to raising a Godly child and the church congregation dedicates itself to assisting the parents in that endeavor. Summary There is no specific command to dedicate children in the Bible. However, Jesus does say that children are part of His kingdom and so many churches have instituted public ceremonies to introduce newborn into the body of believers.
